Our officers presented this year's club accomplishments to Rochester Rotary, and seniors received their stoles.
During our annual Crosstown Showdown week, we held a Penny War between teachers. The two teachers with the least amount of money by the end of the week had to do a rap battle at our Pep Assembly. In partnership with our Social Studies NHS and Class Ambassadors, we raised about $400 for UNICEF.
Our club made stress balls to be raffled off at the upcoming Stress Relief Expo put on by the PTSA Health and Wellness Committee.
Members of our Interact Club, along with those from ACE High School, Stoney Creek High School, OU, and Rochester Rotary helped out at the soup kitchen at Grace Centers for Hope.
On January 18th, we held a Purple Pinkie for Polio event. Students donated a dollar before school or during lunch and got their pinkies painted purple. Money raised was donated to the End Polio Now fund after being matched and doubled by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
On December 15th, we hosted a school wide holiday card-making event. The cards were distributed through Rainbow Connection for children with life-threatening illnesses. Rochester's caring hearts and artistic talents shined brightly on this fun afternoon.

On November 12, 2016 we attended Interact Day and collaborated with Interact clubs from all over District 6380. This event was an inspirational boost to the great things our club looks forward to doing.
During World Interact Week, from October 31st to November 4th, we held a candy drive in partnership with the Rochester Hills Public Library. The candy was donated to the Salvation Army, who handed them out to homeless people in Detroit during their routine meal deliveries.
On October 22nd, we worked with Rochester Rotarians to winterize Rotary Park, raking leaves and planting daffodil bulbs. The fruit of our work will be ready for the community to enjoy this spring!
Our Interact club has earned a Presidential Citation. Only 20% of Interact Clubs earn this recognition and RHS is one of them. We are proud to be able to make a difference!
